Time just keeps on flying by! Daniel and I have been keeping busy but happy these past few weeks. Nothing terribly exciting to report. After turning in his project, we spent fall break with my family to celebrate my brother Ryan's birthday. We had a blast and definitely enjoyed the rest! Daniel and I feel so blessed to have such awesome families! How great is it to have your siblings for best friends?
Back in Manhattan, Daniel went back to work in studio. Although it's still pretty time consuming, we've had a lot more time to spend together. (Which makes me a very happy woman!) This semester we've been leading worship at Ichthus (a college ministry), and it's been refreshing to have a little more time to focus on preparing and enjoying that these past couple of weeks.
I started working at the child development center full time, and I love it! The days not only go quickly, but I enjoy every moment of my work! (well, almost... there are a few dirty diapers in there that aren't exactly the highlight of my day!) Basically, my job is to play with kids all day long. I'm an assistant in the toddler classroom, in which there are eight "tots" between the ages of 14 months and 2 1/2. There are days that are really really stressful, especially if I don't have enough helpers, but even then, I know that I'm making an investment into the kids and their families. My days feel full of purpose.
