By request, here are some pictures of our apartment. As you can tell, we are in the basement, but it's really not so bad. We love the neighborhood, too. For our Kansas friends, it's very similar to the Plaza. Beacon Street is lined with shops, restaurants (some of the best in Boston, we hear), and apartments. Just north of Beacon Street is a neighborhood of Boston's biggest mansions, including the residence of the Boston Red Sox manager. Our apartment building is about two blocks south of Beacon Street, and as that's where the green line runs through, Daniel walks there everyday on his way to work.
Here is our kitchen... note the dishwasher!
This is our bedroom from the window and door, respectively. The rented furniture really turned out great!
The bathroom...And, I haven't taken pictures of our living room yet, because it's still kind of a mess. The couch they brought wouldn't fit through the doorway, so we're still waiting on that, and we don't have any pictures on the walls yet.
Here's Daniel headed out to work on the first day. This is our unit's front door (it has one of those doorbells with the speaker like in You've Got Mail... pretty exciting :-)
And this is the view out our front door. I am headed downtown to meet Daniel for lunch, and I am bringing the camera! Hopefully I can get some good pictures of the Boston Commons and the surrounding areas.
Love to all!
