Well, in case you missed out on all the drama, Daniel was stuck in Norway for three extra days. Now, I know this is nothing compared to our military families (a dad of one of the kids in my classroom just returned from Iraq after fifteen months!), but I really really missed him! And I know Baby did too! While we drove home from picking Daniel up at the airport Tuesday night, Baby couldn't stop squirming!
Now that he's home, we've been struck by the reality that Baby-time is here (or could be any day!). At my doctor's appointment a week ago, nothing appeared to be going on quite yet, but as I've been told many times: you just never know! Baby and I had a talk, though, and I'm pretty sure s/he will enjoy living inside of me for a few more weeks so Daddy can get as much done as possible! I'm not sure there's very much room left, though. My ribs are taking quite a beating these days!
This upcoming weekend is full of excitement! On Saturday, my three dearest friends Julie, Karen, Alli, Mary, Michaela, and Christine are throwing me a baby shower! When we scheduled the date, it seemed so far away, but here it is! Then on Sunday we get to see Ryan perform as Joseph in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. (Actually, this will be my fourth time, but Daniel's first!) Finally, to top it all off, Monday morning is my 37 week appointment, where we'll get to hear Baby's heartbeat again and see if any progress has been made.
I promise to take lots of pictures or our fun weekend and post them next week!
