Today is Baby's due date, and although we're still waiting, I've been having a grand old time! Here are a few reasons why:
1. Friday was my last day of work, and although I enjoyed my job, I am so ready for the next chapter of my life! I woke up Saturday morning with renewed energy and excitement for our home and our family. I am so incredibly blessed to have the opportunity to stay at home with our little one and to spend my days serving my husband. The next season of life seems bright with promise!
2. Saturday I enjoyed a full day of packing, cleaning, and hanging out with some sweet girls! Not to mention the weather was phenomenal!
3. Sunday afternoon, Daniel and I met my parents halfway, and I went home with them to await Baby's arrival. Daniel will follow as soon as he's completed the semester (or when he gets "the call")! This was a day I've been looking forward to for a long time because it means Baby could be here any day and I don't have to worry about the long drive from Manhattan!
4. Today I had my doctor's appointment. I was hoping for a little more progress, but I'm happy knowing Baby seems healthy. Because the holidays can be a little busy at the hospital, we set up an induction date... I'm really hoping and praying we don't have to go to that!
5. Mom and I walked the mall today... and we're going again tomorrow... and the next day... and the next day....We're giving Baby all the encouragement we can! While we were there, we ran into a friend I haven't seen in a long time who is also expecing her first!
6. I've finished my baby sling (pictures to come when I find our camera cord), I'm almost done knitting Baby a sweater, and then I'm going to re-upholster our throw pillows!
7. Tomorrow I've got Christmas presents to wrap, peppernuts to bake, and hopefully a husband coming home!
So, while I may be anxious for Baby's arrival, I'm so thankful that I've been able to keep busy and spend time with family.

I saw Daniel last night at the Northfield house. I asked how you were, and before he could answer, Ben said, "She's still got a baby in her." =)
