Is it possible? I feel like I just wrote the three month old post. Wow! So much has happened this month for our family, but I don't want to forget all of the wonderful, little changes in Elli. At her four month appointment on Monday, she weighed 15lbs and measured 25.5 inches, which puts her in the 90th percentile for height! You grow, girl!
Elli is daily becoming more aware and more in control of her cute little self. When her hands are not in her mouth, she's trying to grab anything within reach to bring to her mouth, including Mr. Octopus' tentacles, her books, my hair, my necklaces, and my cheek. She gives big, slobbery kisses! During tummy time, she's constantly squirming and scooting. Although rolling over has apparently lost its charm to her, she has begun using her knees to scoot on her blanket, and when she is on her back she tries to turn her body to be on her stomach. I'm not sure she ever stops moving!
For most of the month she has been sleeping 8-9 hours at night, although just this past week she has started waking up in the middle of the night again. Hopefully it's just a growth spurt, but if she keeps this up, we may consider starting solids soon. We are definitely looking forward to Elli having her own bedroom soon. Letting her cry it out would be so much easier if we could close a couple of doors!
She is laughing more and more, and just this week, she began giggling when we tickle her. Let's just hope she is no where near as ticklish as me! Every day she is more responsive to us and what's around her. Besides turning the pages in her books (and trying to eat them!), she is more focused on the pictures in them. One of her favorite activities is watching the dogs play outside. She is fascinated by their romping around with each other! Now that she is awake for longer stretches and the weather has gotten so nice, I love taking her on walks and runs. I have just started facing her forward without her car seat, and I think she appreciates that change!
One of the sweetest developments we have seen in her is how much she loves being home. When we come back from a visit to Papa and Nona's or Grandpa and Mia's, she is so happy! Not that she doesn't love visiting her grandparents, but I think she knows her own crib and her own toys. She is so smiley when we bring her home!
She has continued to explore her vocal chords and improve her conversation skills this month. My favorite is when she sings herself to sleep. So sweet! She has also discovered how to growl, though, which isn't quite as pleasant to the ears. We still think she's pretty darn cute, though!
Speaking of cuteness, here are a few four month pictures:

She is TOO cute!!! Brooke is 25.5 inches but only 12 lbs 12 oz. She still fits into onesies she wore when she was 2 months old. Such a little peanut.
Glad to hear she is doing well and I love reading your blog!
