I am not sure I have anything blog-worthy to report, but life has been incredibly sweet the past few weeks. Studio has been more relaxed for now, so Daniel has spent most of his evenings here with us, which has been awesome!
Elli has been a little under the weather... not sick exactly, but I don't think she feels like herself. She had a slight temperature and sleeping a lot, but the real clue to me was her body language. Usually when I pick her up, she immediately turns her head and torso so that she can see out, but the last few days she's been snuggling into my neck and sucking her thumb instead... not that I'm complaining. Today she seems to be feeling better, so hopefully whatever it was is past! Speaking of her thumb, she's finally figured out how to curl her other four fingers into a fist so she doesn't poke herself in the eyes. I will get a picture soon, because it is so precious. I love it when babies suck their thumbs!
This weekend we enjoyed a great Easter morning service (Elli did wear an adorable dress, but I didn't get any pictures... oops!), and a delightful lunch with some architecture friends. The hosts, Brett and Alex, are going to be moving to a different city in Texas after graduation, so we're hoping there will be some visits between us. I was excited to learn that Alex runs half marathons, so I'm trying to talk her into running one with me.
After lunch, we relaxed as a family at home, read Elli's Curious George board books she got in her Easter basket. Such a slow, sweet day.
