A Quiet Morning

Life has been so crazy the past few weeks, with a wedding, Daniel's graduation, and moving. We finished packing up the apartment and are now at my parent's home for a day. This morning I woke up to a quiet house (well, except for my little chatterbox in her crib!). With a bowl of steel-cut oats, a cup of coffee, and a great Book... my day's off to a great start!

In a little while I'm going to Barnes and Noble to find some books on starting solids. Elli is loving her rice cereal, but I feel like I have a million questions about solids. Not just about what she can eat and when, but also, I want to start good habits now for mealtimes later. I can't believe my baby girl is eating food already! This year is flying by.

Speaking of which, on my run last night I saw that my parent's neighborhood pool is opening this weekend! Is it really summertime already? I wonder if Elli will like the pool? My guess is not at first, but at least she will be looking good in her little swimsuit!

The last line of your post makes it far too tempting to drive two hours to KC rather than five hours to Sioux City that day ... I might have to make it happen!!!

I LOVE that movie! My mom and I used to make ourselves a nice, hot cup of tea and pop that in often when I was younger. Glad to hear things are going well!
