To Be a Toddler!

Elli had a playdate at the zoo with her friend Kenny, and boy oh boy did they have fun! The zoo has an amazing toddler area that has room to run around, climb on things, and even a wading area once the weather warms up. I am loving that she is more and more capable and creative with her play. She is so curious about everything. Her favorite part (which I don't have any pictures of) was the prairie dog exhibit. They have a huge window at her eye level as well as a few little tunnels she can crawl into to get a closer look! She was so interested in watching the prairie dogs burrow and play.

The whole time we were there, I couldn't help wishing we were closer to family so that cousin Micah (and future cousins someday) could come with us to explore this awesome place! Micah, come see us soon!!! We miss you!

Elli started off with the wheelbarrow.
Then climbed around on the blocks and mats for awhile.Then she and Kenny picked up all the smaller blocks and put them in the tube.Where did they go?Not quite brave enough to crawl through yet, Elli did think it was fun to look through the tube!Love his little smile! This little guy knows what to do when there is a camera around!
And finally, the crocodile... Elli was not impressed.
