Our New Place

For all my grumbling and complaining about packing, I love this part of moving!  I love having a clean, blank slate and getting all organized!  I believe our internet here will be turned off tomorrow, but not turned on at the new apartment until Sunday, so here's a sneak peak at our new home!  I apologize, because every single picture is terrible!  Also, there is no picture of Elli's room because she was napping when I took these. Or the laundry nook because I couldn't figure out how to get a good picture.

Last night, Daniel and I, with the help of our sweet neighbors, Shen and Ghuyathri, loaded up both of our cars to the max!  Then, bright and early this morning, we headed over to our new apartment complex to sign the papers and begin the moving process.  Despite a minor hiccup (they open at 9, not 8... oops), and a very "helpful" toddler, we managed to get everything signed and moved in.  Everything in the first load that is.  :)

Nervous as we were to see our new place, we are so happy with it!  It may be older and not as pretty on the outside, but the space and cost are so much better for us!

View from the front door.  To your left is the living room, to your right is the dining room and kitchen.  Down the hallway there is a closet, bathroom, and laundry nook on your right; and Elli's room on your left.  That is our bedroom straight ahead.:

Now, while I'm unpacking the rest of our apartment, I want you all to tell me what on earth I should do with this???  Remember, I have an almost eighteen-month old who has impressive reach!

Cuteness!!! Meg, I love it! It's perfect. And I know what you mean about a new slate. I hate packing, but I love starting over! No clutter! it's a dream come true! Love you. :)

This looks like a great space! I'm excited to see it with your personal touch. In terms of the bookshelf, you have me stumped. You could put decor on the top shelf, but I wonder if she could shake the shelf so it all comes tumbling down. OR the shelf could be a good teaching/discipline tool. :-) Good luck with all your work this coming weekend!
