36 Weeks!

When I filed this picture on our computer, I was surprised to see that it has been almost two months since my last belly pic.  Time is flying!  This pregnancy has been different in so many ways from my first, and the way time is moving is no exception.  

 

Everything looks great with the baby.  I have wondered if s/he is still in breech position, but even if that's the case, there is plenty of time still for Baby to turn.  This baby is definitely a mover and a shaker - much more so than I remember with Elli, and s/he also likes to poke me right under the belly button, which hurts worse than anywhere for some reason. 

The weather here has been in the upper 80's and 90's, so I am really feeling thankful that this is a May baby and not an August one.  Elli and I have been able to get outside almost every day, however, so there are some benefits to living this far south!

As I have pulled out more and more baby gear and clothing, I think Elli is becoming more aware that there is a baby coming.  She will often bring me something from her room and ask, "For Baby?"  And when we bought a Moses basket last weekend, she practiced rocking her baby in it.  Her teachers at Mother's Day Out have also told me that she is very interested in visiting the baby's room.  She is going to be a very attentive big sister, I can tell!
