The Moo-Moo Place

The first time I took Elli to Chick-fil-a, she was captivated by a stuffed cow that was on a swing.  Since that day, it has become, "the moo-moo place."  Not only do I prefer their food to certain other fast-food restaurants, I appreciate that Elli can actually play in their play area.  She does too.

On our drive home, we stopped at one to get some dinner and let Elli run off some pent-up energy.  We were thrilled to discover that in preparation for the annual Cow Appreciation Day, this particular Chick-fil-a had something a little extra:

A Moo-Moo!

Daniel was with Elli when she first saw the cow, and he said her eyes got huge, and the first thing out of her mouth was, "Old McDonald had a farm, E-I-E-I-O!"

I love this girl!  Who knew she loved cows so much?  We could hardly get her to leave the cow alone and eat her dinner!  And when we finally did get her cornered into a booth, she kept a very close watch on him and waved whenever he came anywhere near her.

Besides the cow, they also had a t-shirt decorating station, and a "moo-moo" hat and sign.
Elli was in moo-moo heaven. Thank you, Chick-fil-a, for the best roadside stop ever!

And for providing fun long after we got home.
Elli told me that this was a tea party for moo-moos.

Friday was the official "Cow Appreciation Day," when Chick-fil-a gives free food to you if you dress up like a cow.  I'm not about to pass that up, especially seeing how excited Elli was to wear her moo-moo shirt.
Unfortunately, Daniel was unable to join us for lunch, so I decided to go early so we could avoid the majority of the lunch crowd.  In fact, we got there just as the cow was about to change out of his pj's.

Once again, she was borderline obsessed with the moo-moo, and thank goodness the cow was a good sport the whole time.

Even Pooh Bear got dressed up for the occasion!

His spots were only taped on and didn't survive the car ride, but Elli was pretty excited to have her best bud along with her.

Caroline was a little pink cow... my strawberry milkshake.  :)
