One of the main reasons I have this blog is to keep a record of our lives. Sort of a scrapbook/journal combo. As life picks up pace, I find myself only capturing the "big moments," the events and visits and the occasional random afternoon when I happen to have my camera out. But so much of my life right now is the little moments. The funny things Elli says or does... the fleeting moments of sisterly affection... the quick trips to the park... the chores and menu planning. The moments that inspire a quick smile but are gone long before I can get my camera out, adjust the settings, and find the perfect angle.
So I'm beginning something new on the blog. I take a lot of pictures with my cell phone, and they're rarely perfect or cool, but they're real. They are a treasure to me because they are snapshots into my everyday life. I also need a better title for these posts, so if you have any ideas, leave me a comment!
Here are the past few weeks of cell phone pics in no particular order:
(Clockwise from top left) 1. little curls after big sis "washed" her hair 2. my daily to-do and Elli's first to-do 3. who needs contact solution? Elli recommends apple juice 4. tearing the paper off our crayons
(L to R) 1. magnetic paper dolls = brilliant 2. love my new dutch oven! 3. snoozin' 4. making elephant pancakes, I'm told
1. snacks and snuggling after nap 2. waking up happy! 3. Elli does laundry (folding in fourths) 4. PBJs on the patio
1. Elli dresses Caroline up as a ladybug 2. our latest house project (watch for a future post about this bad boy!) 3. bath hammock does double duty outside 4. a few gas bubbles make us kinda needy
1. lining up the buddies 2. swatting mr. sunshine 3. a little mid-morning snack out on the patio 4. Elli the cowgirl
1. big sis holds little sis's foot on our run 2. car seat sweetie 3. tan lines 4. wiped out!
1. so happy to be cooking again! 2. early morning runs to the park 3. dead lizard in the living room (we're so not in Kansas anymore!) 4. kisses for little sis after telling her about the animals

Megan, I think I need some of your recipes. Whatever you were cooking looks amazing!
Both of those are incredibly easy, affordable, and yummy! Even my meat lovin' hubby is happy to see these two vegetarian dishes on the table, and that makes them big time winners in my book! Here are the links:
