Elli-isms

Elli's vocabulary, understanding, and imagination have grown by leaps and bounds this summer, which means we get to hear more and more of what is going on in that busy little mind.  I've really got to get better at keeping a journal of the funny and cute things she says!  Here are a few of my recent favorites:

As we sat down to dinner one night, Elli informed us that, "Mommy makes Daddy's dinner."  Then she thought for a few minutes and followed up with, "Mia makes Grandpa's dinner."  And so we continued through all of her grandparents and uncles and aunts.  The only one she had trouble with was Micah, because we always skype with him when he is at Papa and Nona's house, so she thinks that Nona makes his dinner.  :)

While stealing some kisses from my sweet Caroline, I told Elli, "I have got the two best girls in the whole wide world!" to which she replied, "And Ginger."  Ah yes, you are your Daddy's daughter.

When Uncle Michael came to visit, he brought the movie The Incredibles with him, and Elli was obsessed with the robot.  So, last week, on a Home Depot run with Daddy, Elli started calling something hanging from the ceiling a robot.  Daniel said she was waving and saying, "Hi, Robot!" and offering it items from the cart.  Then she would laugh hysterically at how funny she was.

After giving Caroline a hug and kiss, Elli cooed, "My sweet baby!" ..... then she took her stuffed animal.

This morning at breakfast, after talking about all of our ages,  she specifically asked to see her "Untle Tolin and Mitah."  She loves and misses them so much.
