I love laid-back, quality family time. The older I get, the more convinced I am that it might be my love language. I crave it and soak up every minute I can get! We got a healthy dose during this trip.
Elli did lots of painting. She was so focused the entire time, and kept at it until her arm got too tired.
Caroline took her first sink bath, and LOVED it!
The last day, Elli begged to take one too, so I let her. She's grown quite a bit since last time she had a sink bath! They were two little giggle boxes the whole time.
We are a game playing family, so there was lots of Catan, Ticket to Ride, and of course, the boys got in their traditional game of Axis and Allies.
One night, Daniel and I got to celebrate our five year anniversary at a bed and breakfast, which was actually our first night away together since Elli was born. We had such a great time reminiscing over the past five years, making goals for the next five, and sleeping in! Many thanks to my parents for watching the girls!
. I'm so thankful our whole family got to be in town, and we even got to meet Ryan's girlfriend Madeleine. Literally five seconds after she met Madeleine, Elli grabbed her hand and claimed her as her new best friend. She brought her back to her room, closed the door, and when I tried to come in, said, "No, Mommy. You go talk to Untle Ryan."
