Our church, Christ the Redeemer, blessed Elli and I with a baby shower this weekend. Caitlin hosted it with the Wilson's in her beautiful apartment, and because it was Valentine's day, there was a lot of pink and red! Good thing I had a girl! I love our church, and they were so sweet to do this for us!
The gorgeous and very appetizing table of goodies. Yummy!!!
Alyssa leading a game. We had to finish nursery rhymes (for example: "Little Miss Muffett sat on a tuffet, eating her _____." The answer is "curds and whey" in case you wondered). Some were pretty easy, but I was stumped on more than a few. Who knew that Jack Horner was eating a Christmas pie in his corner? Not me. Weren't there plums involved? And thumbs? Or am I thinking of another one?
Paula and Libby listening for the next clue. They are both experienced mothers (and both expecting again!), and I'm thankful to have them around to ask for wisdom.
Caitlin and Grace. I have quite a history with Caitlin. We met in eighth grade at a summer camp, became even better friends at a completely different summer camp the next three or four summers, ended up marrying guys who had known each other since birth (and whom we both met at the same camp), and now she and Pete are stationed in Fort Riley and attend our church. The PCA really is a small world!
Melissa gave Elli a quilt! Her mom made it, and it is gorgeous! Wow, I'm still in shock!
My mom with the lady of honor, who slept through the majority of her shower. Don't they look sweet and Valentines-y?
