I have had three best friends since middle school. We call ourselves the Club. (Yup. Still do. We are just that cool.) We have remained great friends all these years, and it's been such a blessing to share in all of the changes and growth over the past 10+ years! This May, Michaela is getting married to Evan, and so the Club and moms got together to throw her a shower and celebrate with her!
Our tradition has been to have a Club sleepover and spend a day painting the bride-to-be a piece of pottery, going out on the town, and talking all about the wedding plans! Oh my, we have so much fun! This time we even got to see the dress, and... oh, wow!... I can't wait to see Evan's face when he sees her for the first time!
Here are some pics of the pottery painting... we did a fabulous job, don't you think?
Michaela choosing her pottery.
Julie writing on the bottom of the plate to commemorate the occasion. Doesn't she have beautiful handwriting? She has helped to address quite a few of Club wedding invitations, including mine!
Alli, Michaela, and Julie with the finished product (for our part at least... I can't wait to see it after it's been fired.)
And here are all the girls at Michaela's shower, which my mom graciously hosted. I wish I had a picture of the toilet paper bride game we played; we had some very creative ladies!
Me, Elli, Michaela, Alli, Julie, and Averie
