Yesterday morning at about 8 AM, Elli decided to roll! I knew she was close, but I was still so surprised that I jumped up and started cheering.... and then woke up Daniel, who hadn't gotten back from studio until 4:00 AM. Oops. Regardless, he was just as proud and happy as I was, although she has yet to repeat her performance for him. I would try to catch it on video, but I'm afraid I would have hours of waiting for ten seconds of excitement. Maybe when she's more consistent.
Speaking of consistency... Elli has been sleeping through the night for about a week now! This makes me oh so happy! I've had it pretty good (after her first week, there have only been a handful of nights I've had to get up more than once with her), but I am so thankful to be able to sleep 7-8 hours straight again! I feel so much more rested.
We just got back from walking Daniel to class because it's already 57 degrees outside! At 8 in the morning!!! We are definitely going for a run today! I hope the weather sticks around for the weekend. My brother Michael is flying in tonight for Elli's baptism this weekend, so Elli and I are going to spend some time with him on Friday. On Saturday Elli has a shower in Daniel's hometown, so my mom will go down with us for that, and then back up to Manhattan for Elli's baptism on Sunday. My head is spinning a little bit at all that I need to have ready for the weekend, but I know it will all come together in the end.
I feel like buying daisies today! Nothing says spring like a bouquet of fresh daisies!
