Potty Training and The Thanksgiving Curse?

Well, the potty training attempt is over.  Very early on in the day, it was clear to me that she is just not quite ready or all that interested.  But I am glad we gave it a try - it was educational for me, and I think I'll be more prepared when we try again in March.

Daniel and I were wavering last night whether or not to give it one more day, but it was not meant to be!  Last night, Daniel played flag football with his office's team, and rolled his ankle pretty badly.  At first, it didn't seem that bad -  a little painful, but no swelling or bruising to be seen, but as the night went on, it became more and more painful for him.  This morning, he couldn't put any weight on it without extreme pain, so we decided to head to the urgent care clinic.  The x-rays didn't show a break, thank goodness, but they didn't give a very good look at the ligaments either.  For now, he has a brace/cast thing and crutches, while we wait to see if the pain gets better or worse over the weekend.  Praying that it is only a pulled ligament, and not a torn one!

Last year on Thanksgiving weekend, I had my appendix taken out, so maybe I should start praying now for a healthy Thanksgiving 2011 for the FOUR of us!  (Ooo, that is fun to say!)

Oh man Meg, that stinks about Daniel's ankle! I will pray it heals quickly!
