Dying Eggs

I love holiday traditions.  The anticipation, the preparation, the celebration are so exciting to me, even more so as a mom than when I was a kid!  I know it's only going to get more fun as Elli and Baby grow older and understand more.   

Yesterday, Elli dyed her very first batch of Easter eggs!  We kept it really simple this year, making only a dozen and only dying them solids.  My only regret is only having twelve for her, because she loved it, and wanted to do more when we were finished.

She helped me gently drop the eggs in the dye.

Showed me just the right spot to put them to dry.

And of course did a little reorganization.

I loved seeing how excited she was over each of the colors... this picture really does capture her mood for the entire project!  She had so much fun, and so did we!

Love it!  Can't wait to continue this tradition next year... although, I suppose it might be a little more difficult with an almost one-year-old!
