Go Cats!

On Saturday, we enjoyed our first KSU football game of the year. Daniel and I talked on our drive to the watch party about how many good memories we have of K-State football season. We attended every game together while we were dating, with a big group of our family and friends. Our first home together was about half a mile from the KSU football stadium. Game days were always special. Even if he was under a deadline, Daniel would take off at least for those few hours, and we would be together.

Nowadays, we live hundreds of miles away from home games, but we get to share our game days with two of the cutest little cheerleaders ever. In short, they're still pretty special.

This year will be especially fun, I think, because Elli totally gets it! She wanted to wear her colors; she gave high-fives and smiles to some of the other fans at the watch party; and she joined in as we all cheered, "Kaaaaaay! Eeeeeeess! Uuuuuuuuu! Wilcats!"  Caroline? She watched the game about as intently as her daddy.  :)  Every time there was a loud cheer, she would look at me with a quizzical expression and her signature, "Ma?"  We're looking forward to more games, and judging by how the game went on Saturday, it looks to be an exciting season!
