Our homeschool coop had our first field trip this morning to a local apple orchard. We are really enjoying getting to know the other families in the group, and this morning was just a beautiful day to explore. The orchard was run by a sweet family who were super laid back. They told us to taste and eat as much as we wanted while we picked and walked around taking pictures and helping out, which made our time peaceful and pleasant. We'll definitely be going back!
The trees were absolutely loaded with apples!
Elli was on a mission. Her first goal was to get enough to bake a pie, and then she wanted to try each different variety.
Cara mostly wanted to sample, although she did finally get excited about picking.
Charlie slept in the ergo for awhile, but was happy to get out and enjoy the time with her sisters.
We definitely accomplished Elli's goal of enough for apple pie (and then some). This morning was such a sweet way to welcome autumn!
