Thanksgiving

We have so much to be thankful for this year, not the least of which is this little sweetie! She's eight months old and exploring every inch of her expanding world, including sampling a bit of pumpkin pie!

Her big sisters are learning to not be too attached to their creations. Elli has had a few years of practice already, of course.

And this little "cute pie pants" (their version of cutie patootie pie pants) is adjusting well to being a big sis.

We got to spend the holiday with my family. My youngest brother and his bride flew in from Nashville, and every one else lives in state now! Something else to be thankful for.

Charlie is totally a Grandpa's girl. She dives/scoots/reaches for him whenever he is near. I don't think he minds too much. She is really into books right now, and her favorites are the peek-a-boo baby ones. She smiles with delight and giggles at the pictures of babies.

Mia had this fun little gumdrop turkey activity planned for Thanksgiving morning, and the girls gobbled it up.

Aren't they cute?

Speaking of cute... even the newlyweds got in on the fun.

Like most Thanksgivings, ours was full of deliciousness... including the best turkey I've ever had.

And like most of our holidays, there was lots of extra Daddy-time. Swoon.

We all took turns snuggling Malachi, our sweet little nephew/cousin.
Caroline is such a little mommy, coming in for kisses and to talk to him.

He's in that sweet, interactive, smiley stage, especially with his Grandpa and Mia. He's such a perfect little mix of his mommy and daddy, and we are grateful for him!
