In early January, we celebrated Elli's 6th birthday with some of her friends.
Our girl loves anything artsy or craftsy, so we decided on a painting party! I was a little nervous about a mess, but thanks to painter's plastic and wet wipes... we did okay.
I was planning on printing off a few of my favorite pictures of Elli for a birthday banner, but once I started picking some out, I realized that was pretty much impossible! We ended up with a whole wall of photos. Maybe I went a wee bit overboard, but it ended up being my favorite part.
Instead of a traditional piñata, we tried out a "punch piñata" (thanks, Pinterest!), which was a little more work than I had planned on, but the kids seemed to love it.
Each of the holes had a prize inside, and the kids took turns punching through the color of their choice.
Cake decorator I am not, but this rainbow cake was fun to try!
I could not be more thankful for the sweet friendships God has placed in Elli's young life. What a blessing! Each of the kids worked hard to create their own personal masterpiece.
And what would a birthday party be without a little freeze-dance to burn off some of that sugar-high? Daniel and I were cracking up at some of the moves.
