My parents flew in the night after Daniel's family left, so our week was jam-packed with fun!!! On Thursday we had tickets to a James Taylor concert at Tanglewood (my parent's birthday gift to Daniel). On the way there, we stopped in Concord, Massachusetts to take in some history.
Along one of Concord's main streets, the homes were all dated from the 18th and even 17th centuries! We wondered that their foundations were still good after so many hundreds of years! Many of them had beautiful gardens, and you could tell someone kept them up with pride.
Mom and I in front of the Orchard House, Louisa May Alcott's home. Now, I don't think the boys were quite as excited about this stop, but we loved it!
The Old North Bridge, where the shot heard around the world sounded. It was hard to imagine such a peaceful, picturesque bridge being the battlefield that began the revolution!
Daniel, me, Mom, and Dad at Tanglewood, enjoying the sweet music of James Taylor! Forgive us if we all look a little blah... we were rained on while we waited for the concert to start. Fortunately, it cleared up and gave us a gorgeous evening! People obviously had planned long and hard for this night... they brought picnic dinners, candles, wine... we even saw some vases of flowers! What an event! And James was fantastic, of course!
The man himself!
On Sunday we went whale watching. Mom and I are on the boat waiting to depart (this is before we were completely windblown!) None of us had ever been, so we half expected to be disappointed, but we were amazed at how many whales there were! Even beyond the few that would be close to our boat, you could look out further and see two or three more come up. All of the whales that we saw were Humpbacks.A pectoral fin, weighing a ton in and of itself!
Diving down... we saw two sets of mothers with calves.
Mother and calf.

Hey Megan! yes you can run while pregnant but I haven't been very good at keeping up on it. My problem is that my first trimester takes all motivation out of me so I don't run for a couple of months and then its hard to get back into it. But my suggestion is to just take it a little slower. Walking is really just as good too so don't feel bad about walking. A fast walk will burn the same amount of calories as a jog but you just don't get the "after effect" like you do when you run....meaning you don't burn as many calories the few hours after you get done running. (not sure I explained that very well). I walked a lot when pregnant with Aiden and I think it really benefited me during labor and the months following. I love pregnancy questions so you have more just e-mail me. I think my e-mail is on facebook.
