Finally, here are our pics from the Fourth. This is one of my favorite holidays, mostly because of fireworks... I can't get enough of 'em! Let me just say, I'm not sure if fireworks will ever be the same again! Boston's was absolutely the most phenomenal display I've ever seen. At least I have a whole year for the wonder to wear off! The Charles River was lined with 500,000 people and speakers every 1/8 mile blasting the Boston Pops. Starting things off right with a flyover, the official event lasted two-and-a-half hours, although a lot of people made a day of it, bringing picnics and frisbees. The last thirty minutes were fireworks, set off from a huge barge in the middle of the Charles River. Locals complained about their not being enough wind, which made them a little bit smoky (as you'll see in the pictures), but for us first-timers, it was still incredible!
